Everyone Loves a Parade

I like VEISHEA because I love seeing families enjoy themselves. Twas a beautiful day for the VEISHEA parade - I actually didn't mind getting up early to aid in its success. I saw the cutest little Chihuahua on the parade route. If you can't tell, that's a VEISHEA sticker stuck to the lil' guy's head - he had a heck of a time tryin' to ditch the logo. After handing out brochures and stickers on the parade route, I got myself a little clicker and had to try to count people in a certain section of the route - yeah, that gets old after about the thousandth click!

Anywho, I was looking forward to doing the whole free sky dive simulation near Welch Ave. but that fell through; they were booked for the rest of the night. I ended up eating some tasty greasy food on Welch Ave. while listening to some guy (him and his live band) singin' about seein' his sister in the shower. Meh, it's entertainment. I decided to start a new thing to keep my posts a little more uniform - something I picked up on a Philmont trek in Boy Scouts. It's called roses and thorns and basically it's simply stating the ups and downs of the day. Here goes:

Thorn(s): Being so friggin' tired on such a spectacular day.
Rose(s): Eating jello with Ronda, nappin' with Murph, being a part of VEISHEA 2k4

That's all folks.
