Yes, I paid off my first house! Mr. Nook has promised to upgrade my house by tomorrow night so that is pretty exciting. Also, I managed to plant two "money trees" so we'll see where they take me. I must say, Animal Crossing can be very addictive - you set a goal and you just want to accomplish it. Goals like: upgrading the house, buying cool clothes, earning money and golden items, and impressing your neighbors. This may be a truer portrayal of the world outside the cube than I had originally thought.
On my way to work today, I couldn't help but notice that the interstate was absolutely littered with deer. Deer legs, deer heads, deer guts, and many other parts of the deer anatomy. I saw two road crews that were out just cleaning up the remains. Scary. I wonder if the deer population is higher than usual or what, because I don't recall ever seeing a masacre to this degree.
