Family + Friends + Minimal Snow = Wonderful 2005 Holiday Season

This Christmas was excellent. I can't stop thinking about how wonderful it was to be with Ronda in Clear Lake for a couple of days over my Christmas break. In addition, my siblings all brought their significant others so we all got to enjoy eachothers company for a decent amount of time.

On the 26th, I went pheasant hunting with my grandpa, uncle, dad, and younger brother. Although we only walked away with one rooster, it was great spending some time with the guys while hiking through my family's wetlands. I got to try out my new Carhart jacket that my dad bought me for Christmas. What an exceptionally warm gift!

Recent updates to this website:

  • ALL of my websites (including this one) are now hosted by me! The page you are viewing RIGHT NOW is residing on a server in my apartment in Ames, IA. You probably won't notice any immediate changes. However, this empowers me to post an unlimited amount of content on this site. More pictures, videos, games, and other stuff are guaranteed to be on the way soon.

  • I added a customized search box to the left column. Curious about what I've written about over the past 2.5 years? Just type in a few keywords and find out!

  • I implemented a WebMail system on all of my websites. You'll notice the login box in the left column. If you want an email address at "charlesroper.net" or "roperweb.com" just let me know.

  • I added a conditional alert box in the left column. Its main purpose is to inform visitors of possibly slow loading pages due to excessive bandwidth usage. One of the disadvantages of hosting my own website is that if I'm downloading anything, the loading times for all of my websites dramatically increase. I've set my downloads on a daily schedule, and the alert box warns you if there is a chance that this site may be running a little slower than usual.

I have one more semester at ISU. Classes start this coming Monday. I managed to schedule my classes so that I'll have Tuesdays and Thursdays off. Well, I won't exactly have those days "off" I guess. I'm still working for Championship as well as trying to acquire customers for my own business. So any free time that I have outside of ISU classes will be spent on those two jobs.

Take care all.
