If you are reading this entry, you are most likely one of my tried and true visitors as it's been a while since I've updated. Well thank you, and congratulations - today you are rewarded with a new post!

Why is it always the things that we should be doing are most often the things we aren't doing? In my case, the things I should be doing are never actually done until they have somehow been advanced to the "things I need to be doing" category. Let's just face it - life is so much more fun when you are trying to avoid something . . . or someone.

Ronda and I watched some of my family's old home movies this weekend. If I have the time, I'd love to add a "videos" section to my site so you can see just how darn cute I was as a little kid. Sometimes Ronda wonders why I don't hear things she says to me even after the third of fourth time - but the truth is I've always been easily distracted. Well, that and when I get into something, I am 100% focused. We were watching a video of my family opening Christmas presents at my grandparent's house and I was nowhere to be found. Sure enough, after a few minutes of watching all of the other kids tearing open presents in the living room, my father pans the camera to his right and focuses on me mowing the kitchen floor with my new toy lawn mower. Good times.

This nice weather is making me look forward to our honeymoon in early June. We recently bought our plane tickets to St. Maarten - all thanks to my parents of course. If it wasn't for my mom and pops we'd be spending the first part of our new life together playing scrabble in a Super 8 somewhere in Dewitt eating creamed corn and shaved ice for every meal.

Now for a quick poll. Anyone have any ideas on how I can get a couple of TVs and a decent speaker setup for our wedding? I've looked at renting some displays from Rent-A-Center in Ames, but they won't rent by the week . . . even though they advertise ALL of their prices by weekly rates. Any places in North Iowa that will work with this kind of a situation? If you have any ideas just leave a comment!

We mailed our invitations last Friday so that's done. I could go on and on about the frustrations of designing and building our own invites, but let me just say this: I'm glad it's over and I hope you enjoy yours.

Now back to those aforementioned things . . . you know, the ones that I should be doing that, in the past five minutes, have been moved to the "things I need to be doing" category.
